Question: Gays and lesbians do you love ?
(Posted by: on 2010-08-22 23:08:35)
Not being out of the closet ? i mean, im gay and im 15, im not out yet because i really like the feeling of keeping that part of my life a secret. sure, if someone were to ask me , id tell them, but i love the fact that only i know. so, my question is.... for those of you who are not out, do you like the feeling of only you knowing??? i mean sometimes i just want to scream it to the world but im loving this feeling too much, do you ?? |

Love it. i mean even though there are times when people assume you like the opposite sex and you just feel like screaming it to everyone, for the most part i love having something about me that you know that no one else knows (idk was that confusing? haha) but the part where its something that you know before anyone else and can have that little thrill of having a big secret is the greatest..in my opinion that is |

No. I hate it. I want to be me already. |

Well, I don't tell everyone RIGHT away, and if someone asked too quickly I'd probably get offended and tell them it was none of their business, but it usually will get brought up after not too long. I don't really like the feeling for the little time that people don't know or whatever, but I do kind of find it exciting, interesting, and amusing seeing how people will react when they find out. |

Yes! It's soooo much better! Sure, I felt pretty secure keeping that aspect of my life to myself, and I did feel exposed when I first was coming out to all the people in my life, but now.... It's as if a huge weight has been lifted off of me. Like, before I came out, I would think about the fact that I was gay CONSTANTLY. I would think about it several times a day and wondering how people would react would drive me crazy. Now I don't worry about it at all & telling people my orientation is as easy as telling them my name. |

Hey, i'm an outed lesbian, and i definitely think that if your family and friends are accepting, you should tell them! there's going to be a few people who wont understand and may put you down, but aye, don't worry about them! if you're happy with the way you are (i hope!) just go ahead and tell them!! it's good when people know.. and when everyone knows.. you might just get some attention from a few guys ;) |

When I was in the closet I hated it. I felt like I was lying to my friends and family because I was keeping such a big part of myself from them. I finally came out to my best friend because I couldn't stand keeping a secret from him anymore. But I *do* like it that people can't tell that I'm gay unless I tell them. And I like the looks of surprise sometimes, too. |

I know what you mean, I'm such a private person. But there's also part of me that want's to just be free. I just be me. I don't think people should have to "come out ", it's so stupid, it's nobody elses business. Straight people don't go to their parents and say "Mom.. I'm straight ". It's nobody's business but your own and the people you fall in love with. That's not to say that you should hide it though, because it's nothing to be ashamed of. I dont know, I guess I'm a bit pansexual, if you fall in love with someone, you fall in love with someone. Nothing, should stop that. |

When you are ready to come out you'll know. And you'll be wanting to scream it from the rooftops. I was never IN the closet. I was in a rather pointless marriage when I fell in love with my first woman and finally realized why I never got along with straight men. I got out of my marriage, came out to my folks and then to other and went on with my life, never looking back. Ironiocally my first love was straight. Isn't that a kick in the butt. Once you are out, no one can threaten you with 'your secret'. That's a good feeling too. |
