So in the end the hospital in which the father of fischer's was all like i want you to start your own path- - - - - - - - - - - - - - > was that fischer's own projection, or something that Eames and Cobb designed? Also, why is it that you need to have so many levels?

Earnes and Cobbs lead him to think that, so it was of his design- inception doesn't work if its someone elses design, you have to trick them into designing it themselves. Also, the levels were to make it harder for the residents of the dream to recognize who they were- the deeper into levels you go, the more realistic it seems to the dreamer. **Spoiler alert** Inception is putting an idea in someone's head though a dream. His father telling him to start his own path was put in his head by Eames and Cobb. Saito, the businessman who hired them, needed Fischer to end the company, so that Saito's company could have the entire market. If you didn't get that part, I think you need to watch it again. As for all the layers, they were needed to plant the "idea seed. " The deeper the layer, the further into the person's subconscious you are. If you don't plant the seed deep enough, the person can tell it doesn't belong to them. Fischer needed to believe the seed idea was his, before it could grow.

And the deeper the dream is, the deeper the subconscious is. ***** ***** ***** Arthur mentioned about this in helicopter. In order to make an idea grow, that person must think that it is HIS idea.
