I was looking in my homework journal 2 see wat class I had next in school and I opened it on a helpline page and one of them said "gay and lesbian switchbord " so what is a gay and lesbian switchbord???

The Gay and Lesbian Switchboard exists as a reference vehicle and crisis hotline. Staffed by volunteers, the GLS has, at hand, reference to all manner of Gay and Lesbian outreach centers, clinics, churches, physicians, etc. In addition to being a superb reference line, the volunteers go through a set number of hours in training so as to be qualified to take calls from gays and lesbians in crisis.

I could be wrong.. The switchbord might be a help line for gay and lesbians, who are having a hard time with feelings they are going through, might also help people who are want to come out..
